Introduction
I wanted to post a quick introduction before I started with the real stuff. I have been doing professional software development since early 2006, mainly using Cocoa and Python. Before my current gig, I was the Director of Technology for a large, private school in the area. I have been working with computers for over twenty years and using a Mac since 2001. There are several reasons I wanted to start this blog, but the main one is that I wanted to share some of the things I have learned over the past couple of years. There are lots of great Cocoa sites out there, but I often got frustrated when trying to find help with seemingly simple things. Most of the stuff I have on the docket is not earth-shaddering, but hopefully it will save some of my fellow Cocoa developers a few headaches. I have also been doing some web programming with Django, so I plan on sharing my experiences with that as well.
I’m heading out to WWDC next week, but I hope to post the first “tutorial” shortly after returning. Please check back and feel free to let me know what you think or if you have Cocoa questions you would like to see fleshed out in a tutorial. Also, be sure to subscribe to the RSS feed so you will be notified when I post a new article.
